Cruisin’ to the Square a treat for car enthusiasts

Hundreds of car, truck and motorcycle enthusiasts spent last Thursday evening on the courthouse square in Jefferson admiring dozens of vehicles from the 1930s through present days. Cruisin’ to the Square has been held the second Thursday in August for more than 10 years.

The vehicles were judged in many categories, with winners as follows: Best car, 1968 Dodge Coronet shown by Justin Louk; Buford Pedersen Memorial Best Tractor, 1974 International shown by Jerry Ostrander; Most Likely to Get a Ticket, 1970n Chevy Chevelle SS shown by Duane Sloth; Best Engine, 1935 Ford pickup shown by Dennis Hendricks; Scott Hebenstreit Memorial Best Truck, 1940 Chevy pickup shown by Carol Harris; Best motorcycle, 2023 Harley Davidson Road Glide 3 shown by Brady Brehmer; Kids’ Pick, 2013 Jeep Wrangler shown by Roger and Rhonda Reynoldson; Best interior, 1981 Chevy C-10 shown by Doug Davis; Best paint, 1953 Ford Victoria owned by Phil and Steph Carlson; and Aktion Club pic, 2015 Polaris Slingshot shown by Cindy Ziegler.
